Second Annual Service and Picnic
Sunday, 8 June 2008 11:00 a.m. at Saunders Farm

Last year we had beautiful weather, a great group of people (there aren't many better than a church group of people), a beautiful setting, good food, and plenty of activities. And the worship service, prepared and led by the Youth group, was outstanding.

If you were looking for something to do on Sunday morning, the 8th of June, come and join us. We will be holding our second annual worship service and picnic, again at Saunders Farm. Our Youth Group are working hard to prepare the worship service. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, and soft drinks provided. If you would like to make the dining experience better and provide greater variety of food, you are invited to bring some food (e.g. dessert, juice, salad, or similar).

Directions can be found at (opens in a new window): Saunders Farm

Service and Picnic at Saunders Farm 2007- Photos

In case you were wondering what happened to the photos Keith Lindsey took at the service and picnic in June, they've been posted on this site since about a week after the event. You can find them at:
History -> Ashton photos -> Church Year OR
History -> Munster photos -> Church Year

At the bottom of the page you'll find twelve links. They are categorized into specific activities or events because there are very many photographs. Each link opens in a new window and you can start a slideshow in each.

New Members and Church Membership

If you are not a member of the congreation (either Ashton or Munster Churches) and would like to be, please speak with Matt. You might find it's as easy and straightforward as arranging a membership transfer from another church where you hold membership.

Ashton and Munster United Churches are community churches. Our churches serve Ashton, Munster, Prospect, and surrounding communities. We work with churches in the surrounding communities as well. Come and discover your community church. See what we have to offer.

If you purchase food and other items, consider buying gift cards from your community church. The gift cards are from National Grocers and are as good as cash at Loblaws stores, Loblaws SuperStores, Independent Grocer stores, Valu-Mart stores, and other stores farther afield. In Ashton, contact Joanne Gardner, Jeff Gilbert, or Irma Willoughby for more information or to purchase. In Munster, contact Carmen Thompson, Lynda Bell, or Pat Lindsey for more information or to purchase. Every dollar raised goes toward our daily operations including outreach programs in the community.

And for you coffee and tea drinkers, we sell Fair Trade coffee and teas. For information about what is available from each church, check their Current Events page.
