Churches Selling National Grocer/Loblaws Gift Cards as Fund Raiser
Ashton and Munster United Churches are selling National Grocers/Loblaws gift cards as a fund raising activity. This program has been in operation for several years and is a continuing success. The procedure is straight forward. You purchase one or more gift cards for your shopping at Loblwas, independent Grocers, and Valu-mart (and other stores in other areas of Ontario and Canada).

The cards are as good as cash at the stores for food, cosmetics, perfumes, housewares, furnishings, toys, gifts, garden items, and film purchases. When you make your purchase, you present your card. The cashier scans the card like any other item. If your purchase is less than the remaining value of the card, the new remaining value is retained by the computer. Your card retains the value of the unused portion until you use it next. Your store purchase receipt shows the balance remining on your card.

In Ashton, you can purchase cards from Joanne Gardner, Jeff Gilbert, or Irma Willoughby.
In Munster, you can purchase cards from Carmen Thompson, Lynda Bell, or Pat or Keith Lindsey.

The cards are thinner than common plastic credit cards (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, etc.) and have a Universal Product Code number on the reverse side. That number makes the card unique and allows the unused value of the card to be checked, updated, and remembered with each purchase.

Munster Church Senior Choir Practices - Thursday Evenings at 7:30
The adult choir of Munster United Church practices Thursday evenings starting at 7:30 p.m. If you have an interest in music and in singing, you are invited to come and see what we do and what we are like. We guarantee we don't bite! No experiences is necessary and you aren't required to be able to read music. A number of our members do not read music yet still enjoy singing and music with the choir. Check the ongoing events calendar above to see if there are any evening practice cancellations or extra practices. Come out and give us a test drive. See how enjoyable the choir members are and the singing is. We offer chairs with padded seats that are superior to flat, wooden pews. Additional information can be found by following Groups - Munster in the menus at the top of the page.
